Hey, It’s West Midlands Police…

…so who’s really surprised?
The full time handyman said: 'When I explain I'm not the man they're looking for they are always very apologetic - but I just want it to stop now.

'I could see the funny side at first, but 18 months on, I'm getting really annoyed’.
Well, yes. Who could blame him?
Despite the couple's complaints to West Midlands Police the raids continue to happen and the most recent one took place just two weeks ago.
/facepalm
Police said there had been a mistake, blaming human error with officers getting the wrong address when responding to 999 calls.
Human error? West Midlands Police? Shurely shome mishtake?
Matt and his girlfriend Claire, 42, have been told that officers have been warned to double-check the address before knocking on the door.
He said: 'The amount of times they've told me it won't happen again is unbelievable.’
Sadly, though, it’s not. Have you tried converting to Islam? That might stop them.
'You wouldn't think it was that difficult for the police to distinguish between a road and a grove, but obviously it's causing more problems than we think.'
*snigger*
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: 'We can confirm that officers have attended an incorrect address on Repton Road on several occasions.
‘Several’..? It was 40, FFS!
'Officers have been in regular contact with the occupier to apologise for the mistakes. A number of measures have now been put in place to stop this happening again.'
And none of them are working. Do you employ idiots, or someth…

Oh. Right.

Sue them, this is clear harassment. They will soon do something about it.

Then again, he is white so the police are under no pressure at all.

I'd like to know what the individual at the other address has been doing to warrant 40 visits from the West Midlands' finest in that period of time. Shouldn't they be in gaol by now?

Oh, silly me.

Converting to Islam might work, their nickname is the West Muslim Police after all ;-)

Not that I'd expect anyone to lower themselves that far.

I wonder how many times they've apologised to the occupant of the house in Repton *Grove*?

@CJ, When they mean they have been regular contact to apologise they mean that they've apologised 40 times. Yep, after every raid.

That's how you read between the lines with statements from the media monkeys at large organisations. ;-)

Wouldnt it be simpler to have a key cut for them?

Good point!

"That's how you read between the lines with statements from the media monkeys at large organisations. "

It's an art! :)

You can rely on West Midlands Police when a plentiful supply of sawdust really matters.
