James Newton-Price, mitigating, said Byrne had a “fairly turbulent” life when she was younger and suffered from ongoing drug problems.Oh, well, why not smash up his cars and stab him, then? It’s only to be expected, I suppose…
Speaking of her relationship with Mr Ferraro, Mr Newton-Price said: “They argued frequently. She had a suspicion he was seeing one or a number of other women.”
He said Byrne had made efforts to rehabilitate herself and was working as a volunteer for the Salvation Army.Hah! As if that blatent attempt at judge-manipulation will wo…
Judge Samuel Wiggs sentenced Byrne to a 12-month prison sentence suspended for two years. She was also ordered to comply with a drug rehabilitation requirement.*sigh*
One hopes he learns to choose his partners with more care in future ..
Meanwhile Sister Karen (as opposed to Sister Anna) will carry the banner .. ;)
No, no - It's smash up his car, cut his suits to shreds and then use his credit cards to run up a massive debt.
It's acceptable behaviour for modern 'ladies' didn't you know (even in a certain German car advert). After all any woman who has had to put up with abuse of living off his earnings, in his house, etc and then having to explain a mere seventy five new pairs of shoes is justified in anything she does.
She can go out and play the field (because he's not 'up to it' and therefore not a real man) or she can say he was off with other women (because he's an insecure player and therefore not a real man).
I'm just surprised he wasn't made to pay compensation for all the emotional turmoil she was put through. :-)
Seriously can you believe the reaction would be the same if the roles were reversed?
