A councillor whose car was pictured parked in a disabled bay has insisted she did nothing wrong …Cue much ‘Infamy, infamy, they’ve all got it infamy!’…
Cllr Kellett slammed the person who sent the photograph to The Bolton News for a “political move”, and said they were cowardly in hiding behind anonymity.
She said: “I believe this is political, and I have a strong suspicion as to who might have sent it. If I was doing anything wrong, these people would presumably have sent the photo to the authorities, rather than to the newspaper. ”Oh, no. Going straight to the newspaper is quite the norm now, I think you’ll find. They actually do something about it, you see.
She said: “I don’t believe members of the public can access the back car park anyway, and I was told by the caretaker that I could park there in the evenings.
“My understanding is that you can only access the car park with a tag, so it should not affect disabled people.“So, you think you may never have disabled colleagues?
Still, at least you haven’t tried the ‘I’m a woman!’ optio…
Oh.
“As a pensioner, in the winter months and the dark it can be quite frightening going up unlit side streets, and I thought this would be a way to avoid that, without causing any harm.
“It is a matter of safety more than anything else, and I wouldn’t dream of parking in that spot without permission, but I was told it was okay. “It’s terribly unedifying to blame someone else, isn’t it? But, hey, it’s the Labour way…
“I’m the first person to criticise people for parking in disabled bays.”Here’s a mirror, love. Knock yourself out!

Doncha just love it when hypocritical politicians wriggle & squirm?
She should be reminded of the adage "When in a hole, stop digging".
Denouncing the truth tellers loudly and aggressively for telling the truth works apparently. It worked for RedEd over the revelations about his Marxist father's hatred of all things decent. Also it appears to be working over Labour's NHS and co-op fiascoes. No wonder this Labour Cllr is taking a leaf out of her political parties book. Criminals will no doubt be the next lot to catch on to this blame game and use it as a free get out of jail card.
You maybe wondering how this blame game can help criminals. Well it would be something like this. A judge would address a jury and say that they should not take into account any evidence given by witnesses who they believe are telling the truth as this would amount to an unwarranted smear on the criminal fraternity. You think that is entirely unlikely? To that I would say you would have thought it unlikely that the ECHR would rule that nasty foreign terrorists and criminals should not be deported because of their right to family life but they did.
From which we should rationally deduce that there are too many 24/7 disabled bays which are not needed at all times and act to the detriment of ordinary people.
But we are not allowed to say that are we.

Yes. And I never run out of opportunity!

It's the mission statement of CiF, isn't it? ;)
