No, We Won't Be Silenced...

...so get back in your box, government-funded pressure groups:

For the record, I'm fully in support of civil partnerships, having been to a few. And if people want to call it marriage, who am I to argue? It's not something the government should have any business defining, anyway.

But the insistence on 'marriage' has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with 'equality', and everything to do with conquest.

As does the demand that the ASA act to silence those who disagree.

As Longrider put it, they can't shut us all up, can theybecause the Streisand Effect comes into play.

Update: A classic piece of whataboutery from SarahAB at 'Harry's Place'

Well .. the country is doing so well, the economy is on the up and up, our national defence has never been higher, there's only 6 people left on the dole and all pensioners are living in the lap of luxury ..

So I suppose "Wobbly" Dave and Co have to find something to tinker with, in order to justify their outrageous salaries ..;)

I have no strong opinion either way about this issue.Live and let live I suppose.
But CH is right, the politicians live in such a small bubble they get worked up about things most people don't give a damn about.Like this issue and reform of the Lords are ones that spring to mind.

Julia - Do you have an embed code or something for this? I can't figure out how to nick it.

I went to one of the blogs I linked to (can't remember which) and right-clicked on it, selected 'save image' and then loaded as normal!

Make sure what you save is a GIF and not the usual JPG. That's what gives you the 'animation' effect. Try it with the one on mine.

I'd say they can tinker all they want, when they've fixed the other things!

Those gay activists don't care about the formalisation of partnerships in the eyes of the law, they already have this.

What this is is yet another direct troll attack on Christian/Western culture that seeks to wipe out traditions and core believes.

Activist homosexuals have been hating efficiently in the organised way for a very long time, see here:

http://www.thepinkswastika.com/5294/index.html

What a shame, just when everything was going fine and gay people finally had a well-deserved and equal place in society, the Gaystapo ensures they are turned into dangerous pariahs that can cause people instant legal nightmares over trifles, should they choose to use their sexuality as a public weapon.

Who in their right mind wants to risk making friends with people who have this kind of power over others?
