An officer who strip searched a teenager three times in a fortnight has had his appeal against his punishment quashed.
Two Essex Police officers were reprimanded during misconduct proceedings which heard the youth was stopped four times in Southend.
On three occasions he was strip searched without an appropriate adult being present.
I wonder just what 'appropriate' might mean in this situation. Someone from a zoo?
The report from the IOPC revealed officers believed the teen, referred to as Boy R, was connected to the notorious Bush Boys gang and was carrying drugs.
They weren't strip searching him for fun
, were they?
On August 17, the boy was strip searched in the back of an unmarked police van and officers found a small quantity of cannabis.
Boy R then swallowed the cannabis and was taken to hospital where he was handcuffed for five hours.
I'M surprised any officer would be foolhardy enough to risk strip searching any teen without an appropriate adult present....and preferably a union rep and the arch-bishop of Canterbury in attendance.
Another 'damned if they do, damned if they don't'. They decide to wait for an appropriate adult to appear , Bush Baby swallows the drugs and chokes to death or in twitterese "Beautiful soul, talented footballer, MURDERED by Police"
MURDERED by filth.
As are two are every week on average and none of the bastards ever has to carry the can for it.
Two a week Melvin? Well I'd better get my skates on as I've only murdered one so far this week. Only got two days to go.

Lie down, dear. Concentrate all your three neurons on the rather challenging concept that there are other members of the public sharing my view of police. And for your further intellectual instruction, it was not I who created the host of appropriate police nicknames.
That you are better known as Filth, Plod, Cuntstable, Cunt stubble, Pig, Dick, Blue Meany, Bacon, Scum and Babylon; speaks volumes for the regard in which you are held.
That you are better known as Filth, Plod, Cuntstable, Pig
I remember, back in my more criminal days of youth, being puzzled why people were suddenly calling the Coppers/plod/peelers/gabbas (from the romany I believe)/the smear (from the Yiddish for 'corrupt' I believe)/the Law/the Ol'Bill (and if we were really 'radical' then 'the filth') 'pigs' . Always seemed nonsensical to me,if you going to insult someone then at least use an insult that fits, that has some 'connection'. Also you could 'get away' with calling a copper 'a peeler' or bill' or even 'plod' to his face; calling anyone 'pig'or 'cunt' to their face usually means the resulting conversation is less than jocular.
"Better known" ? Only in your worthless opinion Melvin. I'm sure your small circle of cronies completely agree with you. Very small circle that is.
"I'M surprised any officer would be foolhardy enough to risk strip searching any teen without an appropriate adult present...."
It is Essex....
"As are two are every week on average..."
If only. We might have fewer on the streets if the lazy bastards put in the effort... :)
"I'm sure your small circle of cronies completely agree with you. "
It might have been so when I started this blog, but you'd now find that circle rather a wide one. And encompassing some people you'd be shocked to see.
And that's not down to MTG's influence, is it?
'And that's not down to MTG's influence, is it?'
Your fawning is toxic, JuliaM. Which is why I never swallow it.
